What our clients are saying

FAQs

  • We serve all of Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs (i.e. Alpharetta, Milton, Cumming, Buford, Lawrenceville, Marietta, Kennesaw, Woodstock, etc.).

If your county touches Fulton County, there’s a good chance we can accommodate you!

  • Here’s a quick look at what to expect when you join the Salt & Prepped family:

    • Your chef will send you a curated menu each Friday, tailored to your preferences, simply reply with your selections or any special requests by your chef’s noted deadline.

    • On your scheduled meal prep day, your chef arrives with groceries chosen to your preferences, whether that means grass-fed beef, dirty dozen organic produce, soy-free options, etc.

    • Your chef preps your custom menu, packages everything neatly into your containers, and leaves your kitchen spotless.

    • You’ll receive your invoice the next morning, along with an automatic draft so you can truly set it and forget it.

    • Then we do it all again the next week: fresh menus, fresh meals, and one less thing on your plate.

  • $70/hour + cost of groceries, 8 hour minimum per service

  • This varies from family to family based on household size, dietary needs, and preferences. Each service includes up to 8 hours of your chef’s time, which you can structure however best fits your family’s routine.

We guarantee that within this time, we can comfortably prepare a core menu of:

    • 3 family-style dinners

    • Pre-portioned lunches

    • 1 bulk breakfast recipe

    • 1 snack option

    • Plus flexible add-ons like washed and prepped produce

This menu typically serves up to eight. You’re welcome to fully customize your structure and portion sizes, and if you’d like additional meals or larger quantities, we’re happy to accommodate. Just note that custom menus requiring more than 8 hours of prep may include additional chef time at an added cost.

  • Absolutely! Each Friday, your chef will send a new curated menu tailored to your preferences, dietary needs, and past feedback. You’ll have the opportunity to review, request changes, or add special requests before your prep day.

We want you to have as much input as you’d like, while we handle all the planning and prep. Plus, we keep a running record of your feedback and evolving preferences to ensure your meals just keep getting better over time.

  • We don’t believe in locking you into anything. You’re welcome to cancel service at any time with a 30-day written notice.

This is a weekly service commitment to ensure consistency and stability for both you and your dedicated chef. Most of our families stay with us long-term because they love the experience and they value your chef as an extension of their family.

Salt & Prepped observes the following holiday weeks as optional service periods: Thanksgiving Week, Christmas Week, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. Clients are not contractually obligated to receive service during these weeks, and bookings are at the discretion of each chef.

In addition to holiday weeks, each client is allowed up to three (3) flex weeks per calendar year, which may be used for travel, breaks, or schedule changes. To help us maintain smooth scheduling, flex weeks must be requested with at least 2 weeks’ notice and cannot be taken within 4 weeks of one another.

Outside of holiday and flex weeks, you have options to:

    • Use your prep day to stock your freezer

    • Send meals to friends or family

    • Donate meals to a local cause (e.g., fire station, hospital)

    • Give your chef a paid day off

We aim to provide flexibility while keeping service reliable and predictable for everyone.

  • In your kitchen. We bring the groceries, cook the meals with your cookware, package them in your containers, and make sure to leave your kitchen cleaner than we found it.

We understand that inviting someone into your home is a big decision, which is why we go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. Our meal preppers are not only highly skilled and trained, but they also undergo thorough background checks for your peace of mind. We take extra care to respect your home, leaving your kitchen cleaner than we found it, and we are always open to communication to address any concerns you may have. Your comfort is our priority every step of the way. Expect that your chef will start to feel like an extension of your family.
